House System

The school is divided into sub-units called ‘houses’ and each student is allocated to one house at the moment of enrollment. Houses compete with one another sports and in other activities, thus providing a focus for group loyalty. The House System provides opportunities for students to develop all aspects of their growth and learning: personality, morality, creativity, knowledge and skills. The system promotes values of fair play, teamwork, civics sense, mutual responsibility, self discipline, and initiatives, perseverance and resilience.

For the first time we have six Houses for the VTC students. The names chosen are Kili-manjaro ( Bright Green), Longido ( Thick Orange), Meru ( Dark Green), Natron (Yellow), Tanganyika (Bright Orange) and Victoria (Red). These are the names of mountains and lakes of Tanzania.
The Houses were officially inaugurated on Friday, 29th January 2021 when we celebrated the feast of St. John Bosco (Don Bosco) . On the feast of Don Bosco we had several inter-house competi-tions. The House of Meru was
the overall winner of the day.
As we are typing these lines, all the Houses are well balanced.

This year Houses are Kilimanjaro, Longido, Meru, Natron, Tanganyika, Victoria.
